5th Annual Taste of Ironton: The Best of the River Cities

When and Where: June 29, 2019 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m at Farmer’s Market Square (some vendors will be staying longer to provide food for Ohio River Revival event-goers). 

What’s Happening? Get a complete TASTE OF IRONTON by sampling foods from restaurants, caterers, and bakers from around the Tri-State while checking out the shopping opportunities downtown Ironton has to offer.

While you’re there, be sure to enjoy the Ohio River Revival, a FREE Bluegrass music extravaganza happening on the banks of the Ohio River.

How much does Taste of Ironton cost? Taste coupons are $1.25 ea. Booklets include 8 coupons and a drink coupon for $10. Samples cost 1 to 4 coupons.

Where can you get coupons? Unger's Shoes, The Vault, and additional locations will be announced. Tickets will be sold (cash, credit, or debit) at the event

What is the Ohio River Revival? An amazing Bluegrass Festival happening all day on the Riverfront. Visit www.ohioriverrevival.com to get all of the details.

Who can be a Taste of Ironton vendor? Those having a restaurant, baking, or catering business in the Tri-State. Click the red button above for all you need to know.


  1. Why are you inviting vendors from the Tri-State and not just Ironton?

Expanding means bringing more people to Ironton so they can get a taste of everything our city has to offer (food, retail, etc.), while also fostering collaboration among Tri-State eateries. This collaboration and that of Ironton aLive and the Ohio River Revival will expose local residents and visitors to what this area has to offer. Patrons also get more sampling opportunities.


2. Do I have to buy a booklet? 

No, you don’t have to buy an entire booklet. Buy as many or as few coupons as you like. The cost per coupon this year is $1.25. However, the booklet comes with 8 coupons and a free drink coupon, otherwise, you will need to ensure you have a coupon for your drink.



3. Can I get a refund on my booklet or unused tickets?

No. Booklets and individual tickets are non-refundable. 



4. Do you take credit and debit cards?

Yes, we do. We process payments using the PayPal credit card processing system, either using the card reader or manual entry. The transaction is encrypted and secure. You will receive a receipt via text or email (your choice). There is also an ATM machine next door at U.S. Bank that dispenses cash in $10 denominations. 



5. Where are the restrooms?

The restrooms are located across the street from the Farmer’s Market at the Iron Town Coffee Lab.



Vendor Questions:


1. Why are vendors required to pay a $25 deposit this year and how does that work?

The $25 deposit will be refunded on the check you receive with your earnings. Vendors that do not show to the event will not receive the refund, as this reimburses Ironton aLive for table sign costs and other expenses incurred for the reserved space.



2. What time should I start setting up?

You can begin setting up at 9:00 a.m. However, we are there at approximately 8:00 a.m. if you need more time to set up. 



3. How do I know where to set up?

Ginger and Sam will be wearing green Ironton aLive shirts and will have maps detailing where everyone goes.

Giovanni’s, Black Bear Bakery, Sister’s Kreationz, The End Zone, Blazer’s Restaurant and Catering, and the list is growing. We will be sure to announce them right here and on Facebook.
